Of Courage and Compassion

All principles of courage and compassion originate and are demonstrated in the experience of pregnancy, by the mothers and would-be mothers of the world, and are emulated by the fathers who tend to the care of the women who so suffers—whether their fetus proceeds to term or aborts by nature or medicine—and who tend to the live offspring, thus making the family the central unit of all societies, which contain the individuals sprung to exist within and among them, and move them forward in cooperation and challenge, toward personal maturity in society and nature.
Clear within this scenario is the father's choice to comply with or abandon the pregnancy and family, as nature provides him with the option as much as it enlists her to the task. Though this is nature's condition for human reproduction, it is not infallible as hereditary conceptions are not guaranteed to fully develop into persons capable of independent contract with the earth, as many parents die before gesticulation or maturation is complete, by means engineered in nature, society, or both. As the recognition of the self-evident truth of equality prospers human development in society, society must recognize that the facility of choice is also to be extended to the mother as freedom cannot discriminate, and pregnancy―revocable through nature by "miscarriage", as conception is by non-attachment to the uterus―is in the domain of its mother's acceptance or revocation, as well. As she considers the risk that she assumes in pregnancy, she cannot tell whether the child will live, even if she were to devote her whole soul and self to the enterprise, and the trauma of losing such a risk is great indeed, should she survive, as is the responsibility gained, should she succeed.
As he can do what he will with his body, she can do what she will with hers, respective of their places on the earth. Courage and compassion exist only for freedom's sake, and for life, freedom is an earthly quality, relating to freedom of individuals upon the earth, not within the earth, nor within the womb.

Pro-life, Anti-war, Anti-crime

I've been laboring among the common people of America, for I am one of them, and like them, I am opposed to the American criminal. I am in conflict with those of criminal intent, and I combat their motives, opportunities, and effects, as well as their persons, as they concoct, engage, and leave their crimes against us and against one another, for I labor for America, and America is Equality, Freedom, and Bravery, which indeed, amounts to Truth and Justice. Being human, in this I am not socially perfect or naturally capable, but completely devoting my native perfection, I am socially effective.
There is rank among the common and among the criminal. Among the common, rank ascends by honest, fair, and peaceful conquest of personal, social and natural obstacles. Among the criminal, conquest of others, by any (all unnecessary) means, establishes rank. So, you see, America was founded by criminal works that were devoted to the common cause. As a result, the American criminal justice system is properly dedicated to rehabilitation of the criminal and restitution of the crime, rather than to absolutes of punishment and exemplification. But, because of its criminal heritage, the American elite has always been criminal, whose weapons, finance, threats, and treachery have assaulted their common peerage (whom they arrogantly deny) into submission and compliance, that has allowed the criminal escape and dominance.
Such is the effect of "Slavery" and "Jim Crow", and it is the effect of the policies of "The Bush Crime Family", whose assaults on Iraq are designed to submit the people and their leaders (American and Iraqi), to the will of America's criminal elite. As during slavery, the horrendous crimes perpetrated are excused in the name of God and Christianity, yet the message and story of Jesus Christ is that God became human to show that being human is being God, but in humanity's limited form (the "self-evident truth" of equality among men). God "the father", in unlimited form, was called by Christ from torture, to forgive them who did not realize the partial suicide they were perpetrating through their murder of him. "Pro-life" advocates must realize that "life" is the suffering upon Earth, not of the womb, nor of the grave, where there is no choice nor will to make them, and lobby for the rights and freedom of the living, regardless of "what they do". Unjust war (and policing) kills and wounds the unarmed, the "non-combatant", the restrained, torturing the body and soul of self and society.

Don't Vote Stupidly; vote American! No on California Prop 8!

Proposition 8 is stupid and unAmerican, like the laws of segregation and slavery. We need to do all we can to escape the mindset of inequality. Homosexual marriage is no different in Society from heterosexual marriage. In Society, marriage entails two people committing themselves to one another. Gender is not an issue. Where gender is an issue is in Nature. In Nature, only a heterosexual couple can produce children, but all adults respond to the care and being of the child. Society determines the character of the response, giving primacy to Natural connections of parent, family, neighbors, and government.
Marriage is a statement to the community by its contractors, that they are no longer available to those seeking life partners. Such partnerships work to enrich and sustain their members, and provide the example and dynamic by which children are embraced in Society, and are raised as family. Since Nature produces children and Society nurtures them, Society would do well to regard each child as a proof of Natural marriage between the Natural parents, and institute obligations and options that recognize and reinforce the child's origin, and provide for the child's nurture in situations of parental incapacity. Marriage solidifies and makes functional the potentials and properties of love, which is the child's "womb" into adulthood. The stronger and freer that Love's presence is, the better the chance for our children's survival and appreciation.
The investment in Love's freedom is a brave one, and wholly American, and moves our Society away from unAmerican selfish and "special" interest structures that permitted and instituted slavery and segregation. Proposition 8 asks us to take a step backward, that we should be doing all in our power to avoid. The ideal marriage is a mutual commitment that extends to family and children, one's own first, and to others in the community beyond and as a whole. Nature's DNA provides each family a system of connection and communication based on commonalities (hence, the risks and futile limits of incest of any kind). All heterosexual marriages do not produce children, and some, like homosexual marriages, cannot, such as those with infertile or post-menopausal females or sterile males. Marriage is a personal decision to make a Social statement in a Natural world. It is society's place merely to accept that statement and allow it to be a responsible one.

Thanks for these posts. My father was married to a woman besides my mother, and I never got to meet him. No one felt my loss until I was about to go to college, and my second step-father convinced my mother to tell me his name. I had suspected that my surname was not my biological father's. My mother wed a neighbor to escape a familial but "oppressive" household where she was cared for as the unwanted offspring of a marriage between a (black/white?) couple who abandoned each other and her. They lived happily, constructively, and prolifically, until he died nine years later, leaving her with five children and hostile in-laws who relieved her of whatever inheritance and left her and her children homeless in our nation's capitol, Washington, D. C. My father was her benefactor/seducer until she became pregnant with me. I actually had no legal name until I was forced to go to school, and got a lovely name to match that of my step-father, who married my mother five or six years after my birth. When he left, some six years later, when I was twelve, my mother made me "man of the house" as she recognized my devotion to her as she raised his four additional children, and her five previous ones all sought to escape. Her new husband stayed until his death, when his two children by her were grown, and she died a few years later. I think the best purpose of marriage is to give children the rights to their true parents, and so it should be conferred on the basis of the production of children, as a natural recognition and social responsibility. To serve the interest of freedom and facilitate freedom's exercise, it should also be conferred on those adults who choose to marry one another, to promote the concept of voluntary positive devotions that emit from love. In this respect, I am composing an article against the California Proposition 8 that seeks to limit marriage in the law, to heterosexual couples. [That article is at the beginning of this post.]

Follow the link below to my take on Reparations. HipAmerica is short for The Human Interdependence Party of America, a non-profit outreach of Tragedy's End, my influx of solutions to the spectrum and scale of poverty. Here, the War On Poverty continues, but targets the poverties of morality, common sense, reason, compassion, and other shortcomings that cause the financial poverty on which the war was first declared by President Lyndon Baines Johnson. Reparations addresses the full range of poverties that impact in financial distress for many, and finacial excess for a few.

Reparations

Reparations are to be paid to the victims, cultural and ethnic, as well as personal, of unjust war, by the instigator. Europe, as much under political as religious influence, waged unprovoked war on Africa, capturing its citizens, and exploiting them as European commodities in the development of America. The logic is simple and probably not much more complicated is the math. Example one: Billy takes Johnny's hat, and gives it to Susie. Susie sells Johnny's hat to Tommy for five dollars. Tommy gives Johnny's hat to his brother, Bobby for his birthday, while Susie takes the five dollars and buys lemons and sugar to make and sell lemonade. Her customers are glad to quench their thirst, and become more vigorous and productive, for the next two hours, than they were before, and Susie uses her profits to expand and diversify her business, until it is a multi-million dollar enterprise, bought for one hundred million dollars, and made into an international firm. Their millions of customers enjoy more fruitful lives as a result of consuming the products. No matter where or how the interest in Johnny's hat develops, or who handles it, Johnny is owed the entirety of the proceeds an the honorarium of investment, as well as punitive damages for the prosperity evolved from an unresolved, unjust, crime against person and property. "Slavery" is a misnomer designed to block attempts at reparation. Reparation is merely the "re-parring" of all parties to the event-putting them on the equal levels (at "par") at which they met and are created. Like in tennis, love is the beginning point of all human encounters, and advantage is gained by competitive skill on an equally shared surface. To be "the land of the free" we have to build "the home of the brave" where this issue is satisfactorily resolved.
